An exceptional rain garden is being created in the Jozef Kollár Gallery as part of the Slovak Mining Museum's Green Mission project. This innovation, realized by the clever architects Veronika Bagarová and Marianna Maczová, is unique in the way it combines ecology with history.

An interesting feature of the Green Mission is that most of its activities are carried out by women. This highlights the important role that women play in the field of environmental design and sustainability. Veronika and Marianna have shown their ability to implement designs that are not only ecological and economical but also in line with the preservation of historical values. Their work proves that it is possible to strike a balance between modern requirements and respect for historical heritage.

The rain garden project includes challenges such as preserving the historic value of the building without involving the facades as a support. The architects are designing a space that makes efficient use of rainwater while creating an aesthetically pleasing green zone for visitors.
