The Slovak Mining Museum is proud to announce the opening of its latest exhibition “Resonance in Silence”, which is the culmination of several years of work and efforts to connect art with ecology. This exceptional exhibition, as part of the Green Mission – Slovak Mining Museum for Climate project, presented works created by children from Banská Štiavnica and Norway in collaboration with artists during creative workshops on the theme of art and climate change.

The project “Resonance in Silence” is a unique initiative of the Slovak Mining Museum, aimed at education and raising awareness about climate change. Within the framework of this project, an international workshop was held, bringing together artists, teachers and students in two countries - Slovakia and Norway.

An exceptional rain garden is being created in the Jozef Kollár Gallery as part of the Slovak Mining Museum's Green Mission project. This innovation, realized by the clever architects Veronika Bagarová and Marianna Maczová, is unique in the way it combines ecology with history.

On 22 November 2023, we were happy to celebrate the launch of the “Green Mission of the Slovak Mining Museum” project, a response to climate change symbolized by last year's warmest autumn in Slovakia's history.
